One on One was a top ten hit for Hall and Oates in 1983. Perhaps most memorable for the 1980′s commercials for NBA basketball featuring James Worthy, the song is a solid ballad in it’s own right. The video features Hall walking around New York City mixed in with the duo singing together.

Stand Back is a number five hit from Stevie Nicks’ Wild Heart album from 1983. The song was inspired by Stevie hearing Prince’s Little Red Corvette while driving. Word got back to Prince and he (uncredited) plays organ on the album version of the song. Stand Back is typically the only Nicks solo song performed by Fleetwood Mac.

Time (Clock of the Heart) was a 1983 hit from Culture Club. The video is typical Boy George weirdness including a scene of singers dressed sort of like nuns. There’s a lot of clock imagery in the video and a keytar appearance. Keytar!!

Sergio Mendes is a massive star in his native Brasil and enjoyed some popularity in the US. He had a hit in 1968 with Look of Love and again in 1983 with Never Gonna Let You Go which he co-sung with Joe Pizzulo and Leza Miller. The song was originally written for Earth Wind and Fire but they passed on it; Dionne Warwick recorded it in 1982 but Sergio had the hit with it.
