George Michael has stated in an interview that Everything She Wants is his favorite Wham! song. The song went to #1 in May of 1985 and appears on Wham!’s Make it Big album where it was their third chart topper from that album.

Madge met Sean Penn during the filming of the Material Girl video which is a takeoff of a Marilyn Monroe performance from Gentleman Prefer Blondes.
