David Bowie’s 1983 hit Let’s Dance. The video was shot in Australia. Stevie Ray Vaughan contributed the guitar solo to the track (and was angered by Bowie pretending to play it in the video since he was still relatively unknown and driving a delivery truck to make ends meet). The song reached #1 on the charts.

An all-star 80′s cast came together as Band Aid to raise money for the crisis in Ethiopa. Some of the stars singing on this Christmas classic were: Duran Duran, Spandau Ballet, Paul Young, Culture Club, George Michael of Wham!, Kool and the Gang, Sting, Bono and Adam Clayton of U2, Phil Collins, Jody Watley of Shalamar, Bananarama, David Bowie, Paul McCartney and Christopher Cross. The song was written and produced by Bob Geldof. Great lyrics and melodies make this one of the all time great Christmas songs: Feed the world. Let them know it’s Christmas time again.

Ashes to Ashes is a reinterpretation of a character from David Bowie’s earlier song Space Oddity (Major Tom). The video features Bowie and a cast of weirdos marching in front of a bulldozer and at the time it was made was the most expensive music video ever at nearly $500,000.
