Sting sings that classic “I want my MTV” falsetto intro. The partly animated video was made on a Bosch FGS-4000 CGI system and won Video of the Year award at the 1986 MTV Music Video Awards. How could it not? The lyrics are all about “playing your guitar on MTV”!!
