Tone Loc’s video for Wild Thing features a tribute to the video for Robert Palmer’s Addicted to Love with the mini-skirted girls on guitar. The song was a huuuuuuuge hit in 1989. It features a sample of Van Halen’s Jamie’s Crying, which was bought for pittance of a flat fee of $5000 (later they sued and got $180,000). Allegedly the video cost all of $500 to make.
